Program Coordinator
(Part-time)

Job Description

 

We’re looking for a part-time Program Coordinator who will play a support role in planning and delivering events, programs, and initiatives that engage the IHP community. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics for major events, supporting orientation programming, working with event data and budgets, and contributing to projects that strengthen constituent engagement.

Our ideal candidate is outgoing and upbeat. They are passionate about international exchange on a local and global level. They have an analytical eye and can help identify opportunities and efficiencies .

​

Time commitment: 5+ hours per week, early Sept to mid Dec & mid Jan to mid May 

Compensation: $25 per hour

​

Duties & Responsibilities

​​

  • Helps plan IHP events and activities.

  • Assists with researching and scouting event venues for programs.

  • Attends and assists with execution of larger IHP events including career fairs, cultural programs and alumni gatherings.

  • Conducts administration and assessment in connection with events (e.g. attendance tracking, budget reconciliation, evaluation.)

  • Conducts data analysis in support of strategic initiatives.

  • Supports with projects related to constituent tracking and engagement.

  • Helps develop and deliver orientation programming at regional campuses.

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes

​​

  • Candidates at the masters level in the following academic fields (or similar) preferred:

    • Business administration

    • Public administration

    • International Affairs / Education

    • Hospitality

  • Preferred skills:

    • Able to be outgoing and build rapport with many kinds of people

    • Ability to codeswitch and communicate with people of all cultural backgrounds

    • Proficient in Excel

    • Native-level second (or more) language ability

    • Experience living in a second country and adapting to a new culture (including U.S.)

  • Preferred experience:

    • Familiarity with IHP and its mission

    • At least one year living and studying in Philadelphia

    • Familiarity with recreational activities across Philadelphia.

  • Must live in Greater Philadelphia and be willing to travel across the region for work.

  • Able to lift and carry up to 20lbs.

  • Must have own laptop and smartphone that can be used for professional purposes.

Job Description

 

We’re looking for a part-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support our work engaging international students and scholars across the Greater Philadelphia region, as well as our broader stakeholders (including colleges, universities and regional employers).

​

Our ideal candidate is a born storyteller with a 21st century grasp on how to engage an audience. They are passionate about international exchange on a local and global level. They can wield the written and spoken word with a view to specific outcomes, and adopt the voice of a brand to do so.

​

Time commitment: 5+ hours per week, early Sept to mid Dec & mid Jan to mid May 

Compensation: $25 per hour

​

Duties & Responsibilities

​​

  • Creates content for IHP’s social media platforms

  • Promotes and documents IHP programs and events

  • Advises on website updates and content optimization

  • Tracks and reports on audience engagement

  • Designs promotional materials for IHP programs and events

  • Support Program Manager in the creation of email campaigns

  • Support projects related to constituent tracking and engagement

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes​

​​

  • Candidates at the masters level in the following academic fields (or similar) preferred:

    • Marketing / Communications

    • Journalism

    • International Affairs / Education

  • Preferred skills:

    • Dynamic content creation and video editing

    • Ability to codeswitch and communicate with people of all cultural backgrounds

    • Excellent written and spoken English

    • Proficient or fluent in a second language

    • Experience living in a second country and adapting to new culture

    • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

  • Preferred experience:

    • Familiarity with IHP and its mission

    • At least one year living and studying in Philadelphia
