For more than 100 years, International House Philadelphia has been dedicated to helping people from around the world build enduring ties and feel welcome in Philadelphia.
Today, IHP works with higher education institutions, regional employers, and civic partners to ensure that Greater Philadelphia approaches international student and scholar attraction, support, and retention in a way that is strategic and collaborative.
We help attract international talent to the region, support student and scholar success, and create pathways for the world's best and brightest to build careers and futures in our region.

International Student Welcome Campaign @ PHL Airport
IHP teamed up with higher eds and other local nonprofits to create a welcome campaign at Philadelphia Airport.
Welcoming International Delegations
IHP promotes Philadelphia and its educational assets to visitors from overseas who are involved in student counseling and the college admissions process.
Career Support for International Students
IHP hosts student-facing events and delivers presentations at partner institutions on the pathway into employment for international students on an F-1 visa.
Employer Engagement: International Graduate Talent
IHP advocates for employers to include international graduates in their talent acquisition strategies.
Capacity Building for Colleges and Universities
We offer trainings for Higher Ed faculty and staff on best practices for international student & scholar support, and our staff travel to campuses across the region to present to students at orientations and career events.
Building Community for International Students & Scholars
We welcome international students and scholars from across Greater Philadelphia to attend our events & meetups and become part of the IHP community.
